HOTHOGRAPHY
My name is Kevin Hoth. I make pictures. I am from Wisconsin. I lived near the Atlantic Ocean and now I live in the Rocky Mountains. I make images of anything that soaks up light and bounces some back to me. This is my more "professional" photo blog where all content is created by me. The other one is here: iceplanethoth.tumblr.com

20111209-_MG_5944 (by kevin hoth). Made this when I got home from work. BOOM.

Kevin, Did you notice the jet aircraft leaving the “ChemTrail” in the sky, or is that what you were shooting?
Yes, I did notice that! Not to sound arrogant (actually that makes me sound automatically arrogant but oh well), but there is generally very little I’m not aware of when I make a photograph. The wheel tracks lead off to the right/distant mountains and the vapor trail leads you to the sun and wires and then your eye leads to the tree. Composition is king for me so I look for flow. However, part of the fun at looking at the image afterwards is seeing something you didn’t realize was there that adds something extra to the image. Now that I look again the the near horizontal tracks in front mimic the power lines to the upper left. Thanks for looking and commenting!
